Hutton in the Forest CIC* 14TH June 2008 The competition will run Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping (in reverse order after cross country results). Dressage Test: Scheduled to run from 0830 Saturday 14th June. CIC* Test A (approx 7 minutes) Cross Country: Scheduled from 1430 hrs on Saturday 14th CIC* Height - Fixed 1.10m; Brush 1.4m. Spread 1.4m highest point, 2.1m base. Drops 1.60m Max Speed 520mpm; Distance 2400m – 3200m; Range of efforts 24-32 Course Description: A traditional undulating parkland course with approximately 30 efforts over 3000m and with 3 water crossings and some excellent viewing for spectators. The course will vary significantly from the Novice class and traverse part way along the new Intermediate course in the far parkland. The course will be numbered using purple not yellow numbering and lettering. Show Jumping: Scheduled from 1645 in reverse order on Saturday 14th June. Followed immediately by mounted prize giving. CIC* Height 1.15m; Spread 1.40 highest point, Base 1.90m. Entry Form Prize Money Qualifications Guidelines for competitors – Extracted from BE Rule Book 2008 Part 5 International Events Rule 5.01 General – International one day events (CIC’s) are conducted in accordance with FEI Rules and Guidelines. Rule 5.02 Age of Competitors – For CIC *, Riders must be in the age of their 14th Birthday or over. Rule 5.04 Age of Horses – CIC * Horses must be 5 years or over – taken from the beginning of the calendar year of the season. Rule 5.05ii Passports – Horses competing in CIC*in which they are resident are not required to have an official FEI passport but must be registered with the BEF and the FEI – Article 511.1 and 511.2. A national passport specifically relating to the entered horse is compulsory (Rule 1.37i) and must accompany and be produced on request (Rule 1.37iv). Rule 5.05iii All horses competing under FEI Rules are required to be vaccinated in accordance with FEI Veterinary Regulations and Rules for Eventing. These require that a booster vaccination be given within 6 months of the first date of competition, which may be extended by 21 days in order to provide a window for re-vaccination; a shorter interval is permitted, but this will set the date for the next booster vaccination. Rule 5.06 Registrations – All Horses and Riders competing in International Events must be registered with the FEI by way of the National Federation (BEF) - See British Eventing (BE) FEI Horse Registration form – Fee £15.00 per horse/£15.00 per rider. An Acknowledgement and Agreement Form must be completed. Details and forms are obtainable through the BE International department. Rule 5.07i Qualifications – Both horses and riders must satisfy the rules for qualifications at CIC* as detailed in Annex 14, FEI Code of Conduct and FEI Rules for Eventing: Annex 14 states: Required Minimum Qualifying Results (QR) for CIC* 2 X Novice one day events clear XC with no more than 16 show jumping penalties Qualifying period and deadline: QRs must be obtained in the calendar year in question or the 2 preceding calendar years. Qualifications may be achieved as a combination or separately by rider and horse. Where a QR result is specified, one QR at a CCI of the same level is equally acceptable. |
